🌲 Girl Scout Outdoor Skills Spectacular! 🌲

Join us for an exhilarating day of outdoor adventure and skill-building! Calling all Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts to immerse themselves in a day filled with exciting activities, sisterhood, and learning opportunities.

Key Activities will include:

  1. Knife Safety: Learn essential age appropriate knife handling skills from seasoned experts, ensuring safety while mastering the art of cutting and carving.
  2. Fire Building: Safely build and maintain fires using various methods such as matches, lighters, and fire starters.
  3. Basic First Aid: Learn essential first aid skills such as treating minor cuts, burns, and insect bites.
  4. Hiking & Navigating: Navigate trails using maps, compasses, and landmarks while practicing Leave No Trace principles.
  5. Outdoor Gear Care: Maintain and care for outdoor equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, and hiking boots.

What to Bring:

  1. Dress comfortably in weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.
  2. Don't forget your water bottle to stay hydrated & your Sit-Upon if you have one!
  3. Bring your adventurous spirit and readiness to learn and have fun!
  4. You will be sent a health history form prior to the date of event, this MUST be filled out before the Girl Scout can be checked in.

Provided:

  1. Outdoor Skills Patches and Charms
  2. Snack activities
  3. Lunch (sandwich, chips, hydrating flavored drinks)

Prepare to embark on a journey of discovery, empowerment, and outdoor mastery! Let's make unforgettable memories together in the great outdoors.

Parents will be permitted to stay, however they will not be provided lunch and they will be intstructed to stay in the lodge while their Girl Scout participates in various activities throughout the camp. Please refrain from bringing young siblings, it will be a long day and they will be restricted from walking the grounds throughout the day.
