Overview
Dayna Stephens is widely regarded as one of the leading saxophonists of his generation.
Dayna Stephens is one of the elite saxophonists in New York City and the world. He has performed and recorded with a who's who of other top jazz musicians, including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Kenny Barron, Ambrose Akinmusire, Julian Lage and Gerald Clayton.
Dayna is preparing to take an unprecedented two-year break from performing, and this Takoma Station show will be his last before that break. He will bring his current New York band and a whole host of original tunes. His band consists of Gabriel Chakarji on keyboard, Rafael Enciso on bass and Miguel Russell on drums.
