About the show:

David "FuZe" Fiuczynski’s KiF

  • David Fiuczynski - guitar
  • Anderson Mirafzali - bass
  • Jonathon Birch - drums

Let us take you on a journey mixing other-worldly sounds with Eastern-inflected melodies, high energy funk rock, hip hop and electronica jamz with plaintive meditations over lush, brooding and at times microtonal harmonies. This unusual band sounds like nothing else and approaches the music of tomorrow - "Planet MicroJamz".

This concept started on a gig in Morocco in 1992. The Moroccan players noted that Hendrix visited the country and this gave FuZe an idea - hard grooves with eastern influenced melodies putting the listener into a very colorful trance - could this be the music that Jimi would play today? KiF celebrates a living Hendrix who’s kickin it in Casablanca and rocks the Casbah!

FuZe, (Screaming Headless Torsos, Stewart Copeland, Jack DeJohnette, John Medeski, Vernon Reid, Dennis Chambers, Hadisic New Wave and more) is very much interested in mixing & "FuZing" elements into something different new. Much of my musical inspiration comes from non-musical sources: East Asian & Arabic calligraphy and architecture, the colors of Matisse, Van Gogh, Gauguin, the Fauvists and German expressionists, the jagged explosions of Peter Voulkos’ pottery and the delicate restraint of Taoist poetry. Join us for an evening of music and let us color your minds and hearts!!
