Wheel Throwing Date Night Experience

Spend an evening learning the art of pottery wheel throwing together. This wheel-only class offers a hands-on introduction to clay in a structured and engaging setting, perfect for couples or pairs looking for a creative shared experience.

No experience is necessary — we’ll guide you through every step.

What You’ll Make
• Multiple wheel-thrown pottery pieces per participant depending on pace and ability

• Demonstration of essential wheel throwing techniques
• Guided instruction in centering and forming basic shapes
• Individual support throughout the throwing process
• A relaxed and engaging environment focused on shared experience
• Clear explanation of drying, firing, and glazing timeline

Wheel throwing requires coordination and practice, and results will vary for beginners. Each participant will be supported toward a successful finished piece.

Participants will return in approximately 2 weeks to glaze their pieces. Finished pieces will be ready for pickup about 1 week after glazing.

• Kiln bisque firing
• Glazes (during glazing session)
