#DataRescueDenton is an opportunity for programmers, scientists, archivists, activists, and volunteers of all kinds to identify, back-up, and help preserve publicly accessible federal data resources in the public interest, in the event they are removed from public view and use.
Join us for a day of discussion and citizen archiving, at a time when scientific research in the public interest is increasingly at risk. We’re looking for people who are knowledgable about environmental research and data, including data scientists, hackers, archivists, librarians, writers, web designers, people with good communication skills, and anyone else who is eager to help or simply wants to know more!

Reminders:
- Bring your own device. There will be plenty of outlets and excellent wifi.
- Come for as much or as little of the event as you are able or as interests you! If you can only drop in for part of the day, that's a-okay. :) You can see the schedule at www.datarescuedenton.com
- Lunch will be provided! Please register if you think you are going to be there for lunch so we can make sure we have ordered enough food.
- We will be streaming the first half of the event. Details to come as to what platform it will be on.
