<h1>Use your data as a force for good</h1><h3>The more informed you are, the better you can serve the people connected to your organisation: whether they’re tenants, citizens, donors, patients, volunteers or beneficiaries. </h3><p><strong>This event is dedicated to looking at how your data can enhance your organisation’s social impact, and in turn make your data a force for good. </strong></p><p>B﻿y attending the Data for Good Day, you will hear from a range of real-world data practitioners that are currently operating in the public and third sectors, including attendees from Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, Barnardo’s, Richmond Housing Partnership and the Intellectual Property Office. These speakers will share their insights, experiences, successes and failures - inspiring improvements and innovations for all delegates.</p>

<p>W﻿e will also be joined by data experts from Amplifi, and our partners Pyramid Analytics, Actian and Semarchy, who will each provide an insightful session on how analytics and master data management will help increase efficiencies in your organisation. </p>

<p>The day will also give all attending delegates a chance to network amongst themselves, to speak and connect with other data leaders at their respective organisations, creating a community in which public and third sector employees can share their own experiences. </p><p>P﻿lease register for the event on this page, we will then be in contact with all the details you will need. We'll kick off by talking through the principles and purpose of Data for Good, and what we hope to achieve throughout the course of the day.

Intro + Welcome

Our public servants are under continual pressure to deliver at a time of increasing demand. DGFT embarked upon an initiative to leverage cutting edge master data management technology to derive operational insights from the data stored across their disparate systems. Their high-impact use cases enabled analysis and decision-intelligence on agency staff management, vacancy management and cancer related patient journeys. This session will help data leaders, from all domains, confirm how to execute master data disciplines to drive operational efficiencies through evidence-based decision making.

How the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust unlocked insights into citizen data

In this session, Alastair discusses how organisations are leveraging data in innovative ways to drive change in areas such as healthcare, education, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability. By using data effectively, organisations and individuals can gain insights, inform decision-making, and drive action that can lead to real-world impact and positive change. He’ll also discuss the challenges of ethical and privacy concerns, as well as a commitment to using data in ways that promote transparency, accountability, and social justice.

In this session we will hear from Mike Evans, Chief Innovation Officer at Amplifi, as he gives you an overview of the future of data, hot trends like Data Mesh and Data Fabric and what this means for the third sector.

In this session, you'll hear how the IPO want to continue to be a brilliant place to work so it can deliver excellent IP services. Diversity in their data is a key driver to improve their internal and external ambitions. Lien Bailey has a breadth of expertise in data, and this year has been featured in the dataIQ 100 most influential people in data. The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is the official UK government body responsible for intellectual property (IP) rights including patents, designs, trade marks and copyright.

This session will focus on how master data management can help 'Data for Good' organisations connect with their customers - patients, residents, citizens, donors, volunteers and beneficiaries - whilst improving efficiency and boosting their social impact and service to the community.

Semarchy: Customer MDM for the Not-for-Profit & Public Sector

This session features an interactive Q&A panel with representatives from Barnardo's and Richmond Housing Partnership. We'll be discussing how both organisations have recently undergone data transformations, and how they are now using their data to improve services for the people and families they serve. Karen Indoo joins us from Barnardo's as their Senior Manager Data & Insights, and also brings with her 22 years of experience working in data roles in the voluntary sector.
