Overview

A new highly curated event from the folks who brought you Data Day Texas.

Website launches soon.

Attendance will be capped at 200.

Here's what attendees of the beta version had to say:

Alexandra Pasi :

Data Discussions isn't like any conference or professional event I'd been to before. My favorite part of any conference is almost always the conversations that people have between the sessions in the hallway, or over a coffee or a drink outside of the official programming. It's where you get the actual pulse of the underlying zeitgeist driving a community, a sense of the trajectory of an industry and movement before it's polished enough for prime-time. And it's where you actually build the relationships that create the community and get to have a hand in shaping it. Data Discussions turns the whole event into that experience."

Thais Cooke :

Data Day Discussions felt like someone had taken the best parts of a data conference, the hallway conversations, the Q&A moments when the real dialogue starts, and made that the whole day. There were no stages, no one-way broadcasts. Just a room full of people passionate about data and where the industry is heading, trading ideas across topics without the usual conference formality. It was more intimate than I expected, and more energizing. If you've ever left a conference wishing the hallway conversations could have lasted longer, this is that.

Ryan Dolley of SuperDataBrothers :

Data Discussions is like the post-conference happy hour real talk transformed into the event itself. Real, sustained and honest conversations with industry leading thinkers and practitioners about the opportunities and challenges in our industry. Being in such a dialed in group of experts and peers having open and wide ranging discussions was both enlightening and cathartic. A great place to demystify industry hype, learn a ton, network with great people and make lasting friendships. Totally different and better than the typical 'watch powerpoint, get coffee, rinse, repeat' cycle of data conferences.

Trey Blalock - Cybersecutiry Speaker and Advisor:

One of the best parts of the Data Day Texas was the Sunday discussions - cutting-edge conversations that emerged as experts shared new ideas and watched them evolve in different directions throughout the day. Many of these discussions continued well after the conference was over. An entire conference built this way is unheard of, and I'm really looking forward to this new event. BTW: I expect tickets to sell out fast, so if you plan to go, jump on it quickly.

Confirmed Animateurs for the Data Discussions include:

Annie Nelson - Facilitator
Alexandra Pasi - Catalyst
Ryan Dolley - Agitator
Thais Cooke - Translator
Juan Sequeda - Synthesizer
Matthew Housley - Animateur
Joe Reis
Trey Blalock

Many more to be announced!
