Overview

Connect with others working on analog data experiences from quilts to beads to embroidery and everything in between!

Join us for a gathering of creating, sharing, and connecting! Data Craft Circle is a space to bring your data encoding creativity whether you bead, collage, embroider, or just want to try something new. Come with a project in progress or start something fresh; we’ll have some guiding prompts to help you get started.

This is a free virtual event presented by the Data Visualization Society and is open to the public to join.

Monthly theme

Our theme for our discussion in March is "Memory," inspired by an attendee's question at our last event that we didn't have enough time to dive into: "What is a data experience that you'll never forget? What are the qualities that connect the data experiences we've remembered?"

How it works

As we work on our respective projects, we’ll have some informal conversation. You are welcome to chat and share ideas or just lock in on your project and enjoy the quiet focus. At the end, we’ll save time for some (very optional) “show and tell.” We will alternate the time of this event each month to be inclusive of various time zones.

Keep the conversation going

Join the Data Visualization Society Slack and meet other early-career members in the #connect-early-careers channel.
