Data Analytics with Python Office Hour

Dabeaz LLC is a company founded by David Beazley, an independent software developer,  book author, and educator living in the city of Chicago.  David is best known as the author of the "Python Essential Reference, 4th Edition" (Addison-Wesley), the "Python Cookbook, 3rd Edition" (O'Reilly Media), and "The Python Programming Language LiveLessons" (Addison-Wesley).  David has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and more than 10 years of university-level teaching experience.  From 1998-2005, Dave was an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago. Python has a robust ecosystem of tools aimed at assisting data scientists, researchers, and the everyday developer with analytics tasks. But how can we make the most of these tools? In these office hours, join host Safia Abdalla and learn how to make the most of tools like pandas, scikit-learn, and matplotlib to tackle everyday analytics tasks and discover tips and tricks for working with these libraries.
How is the event held?
The event is held using HP MyRoom (https://www.myroom.hpe.com).  You will need to download a free client to attend.  Prior to the office hour, you will receive an email with a MyRoom Event code.
What should I expect?
Expect an interactive session of Q&A, live coding, and discussion.
Do I need to show my face?
No. Although MyRoom supports video conferencing, it is typically not used and not required.  
Do I need to participate by audio?
No. The session fully supports online chat as well as a question management system. 
Can I just listen in?
Sure, no problem.  However, you still need to register.   The session will be better if you come with a few questions however, 
Do I need to sign up or register for anything?
Other than the EventBrite registration, you do not need to register or sign up for anything to attend.  You only need the event code. You're not signing up for a new "service." 
Is the session recorded?
No.
How many people can attend?
The session is strictly limited to 20 people.
