DART Mission
Event Information
About this event
Registration will provide communications about launch schedule changes, information about highlighted launch related activities, and access to curated launch resources.
DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) will be the first demonstration of the kinetic impactor technique, which involves sending one or more large, high-speed spacecraft into the path of an asteroid in space to change its motion. Its target is the binary near-Earth asteroid Didymos and its moonlet. Launch will take place at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
All resources, participation, and registration are FREE. Register to let NASA know that you're virtually participating!
