Darrell Day is a native of Versailles, Indiana and a 1981 graduate of the music program of Eastern Kentucky University. He did graduate work in the opera program of Indiana University and finished his masters of music at Butler University. He continued voice study at the Metropolitan Opera in 1984. Mr. Day sang opera and musical theatre for hundreds of audiences in American and European theatres. His teaching and conducting stretched nearly 40 years…public school and college choral music, handbells, and composition. Directing worship for a variety of churches took him to churches all over the Eastern and Southern part of the United States.
Darrell and his wife, Lisa, started Mystic Ice Cream in 2019. Now, they work tirelessly to provide great ice cream and fun entertainment in and around The Villages. Darrell is a composer of over 300 works including the opera, Lizzy Lloyd, two musicals, two masses, an American song cycle, children’s ballet, and many works for choirs, handbells, and piano. He is pleased to share the latest of his works with you this evening!
The second part of the evening's entertainment will be Darrell's version of "I've Got a Secret". Audience members will submit a situation or experience that will be a surprise for their neighbors. Darrell will select a few participants and after about 20 yes or no questions, the audience serving as the panel, will discover the truth of the secret. It truly is a lot of fun and you will thoroughly enjoy it.

Admission tickets to the Collierite events are no longer needed; so, do not print the tickets as suggested by Eventbrite. Ticket confirmation will be made from a list of paid registered attendees at the check-in table. Be sure to bring your name badge.
Refunds cannot be provided once the ticket sales are finalized the Monday before the event. If you are unable to attend the event after purchasing tickets, the ticket/reservation can be given or sold to someone else.
