Dark Intelligence

This 3-hour seminar presents the case to replace the name – “artificial intelligence” (AI) – with “dark intelligence” to offset the apparent presuppositions belying the technology and correspond to a disregard of the prerogative of human being: the pre-thematic comprehension the little word “is.” The seminar (1) reduces AI to its core processes and human intelligence to its basic meaning, (2) discerns the comprehension of being (“is”) as the essential possibility of human intelligence, (3) identifies inconsistencies in the “artificial intelligence” moniker commensurate with its forgottenness, and (4) lays out the argument to supersede it to clarify the way AI is thought.
