Overview

Danielle Nicole

“That girl gets down to the nitty gritty.” — Koko Taylor

Danielle Nicole is a powerhouse singer, bassist, and songwriter whose soul-deep blues has earned her a place among the genre’s modern greats. Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Nicole was immersed in music from an early age — inspired by her parents’ work in the local scene and sparked by watching her father play blues guitar and her mother sing professionally. Alongside her brothers Nick and Kris, she co-founded the acclaimed “heavy blues” trio Trampled Under Foot, building a devoted following that stretched far beyond the Midwest and across the globe for more than a decade.

Since launching her solo career, Nicole has continued her ascent with critically acclaimed releases. Her debut Wolf Den (2015) climbed to #2 on the Billboard Blues Chart, followed by Cry No More (2018), which earned a GRAMMY nomination and debuted at #1 on the chart. Her latest release, The Love You Bleed (2024), has already surpassed 1.2 million streams, further cementing her momentum. With eight Blues Music Awards to her name and praise from outlets like Guitar World and Blues Music Magazine, Danielle Nicole brings grit, grace, and undeniable fire to every stage — and she’s only just getting started.
