Many of us have learned to approach faith and mission the same way we approach everything else—with effort, discipline, and determination. But over time, something begins to wear thin.

What if there’s another way?

Dangerous Prayer is a guided, experiential journey into a deeper life of prayer,
one that moves beyond words and into the active presence of God.

This isn’t about simply learning more about prayer. It’s about being mentored into fostering a culture of prayer that reshapes how you see, listen, and respond.

Through this personal experience of prayer it becomes a corporate experience that brings the gospel to the world in impactful ways. If Dangerous prayer intersects with a person then a Dangerous Church intersects with the world in mission and proclamation.

This kind of prayer loosens your grip on control. It quiets the pressure to perform.
and opens you to a power that doesn’t come from your own effort. Over time, it begins to reshape everything—your inner life, your relationships, and the way you participate in God’s mission.

What You’ll Experience

Each one-hour session is intentionally simple and spacious:

• A short, grounded teaching
• A curated prayer practice
• Time to notice, reflect, and process your experience

June 17--Session 1: Revelation

Learning to notice where God is already present and speaking.

July 15--Session 2: Encounter

Moving beyond words into an awareness of God’s nearness.

August 12--Session 3: Transformation

Allowing prayer to reshape your inner life and overflow into mission.

Who This Is For

This series is especially for you if:

• You wish you were “better” at prayer
• You sense you’re doing lots of mission activity, but wishing your mission was having more impact
• You’re tired of trying to carry faith or mission on your own
• You long for a deeper, more experiential connection with God

Meet Your Guides

You’ll be led by two experienced practitioners who have cultivated cultures of prayer that led to real transformation:

• Mia Chang, pastor of NextGen Church in Princeton NJ, helped birth a thriving, multicultural faith community rooted in prayer and mission
• Jon Davis, author of “Dangerous Prayer” and rector at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Palatka, FL, helped reimagine a declining church into a vibrant, mission-shaped ecosystem

Together, they bring both depth and practical leadership experience in a local church setting—offering guidance you can actually live into.
