Oakbrook Academy Dancing With the Dolphin Stars

Oakbrook Academy of the Arts is Fairfield-Suisun School District’s Award-Winning Transitional K-8th grade public school expressly focused  on enchanting the Common Core curriculum through the Arts. Recognized as a California Distinguished School this extraordinary program brings history and language arts alive through visual arts and theater, math becomes animated  through music,  and all subjects breathe life through dance.   We are raising students to be comfortable with creativity, risk taking, leadership and failure.  We are teaching perseverance, working through discomfort, and the joy of success.  We are teaching communication, cooperation and community as we put on productions, learn to dance together, make music as a group, and support each other learning new skills. Research has proven that working with the arts builds 21stcentury skills  for our students so they leave school prepared for a lifetime of success.    We are growing confident, kind, expressive, and competent young people… Solano County’s future leaders. The school is available to any child, aged kindergarten through 8th grade in Solano County.

Oakbrook Academy of the Arts

On Saturday, April 7th,  Oakbrook Academy of the Arts will present a very special evening. Six of Oakbrook’s Dancing Dolphins performers will each be paired with local Fairfield community leaders to present a “Dancing With the Dolphins” showcase. The  Dancing With the Stars themed event will be held from 7-9pm at the Joseph Nelson Center in Suisun featuring not only the dance talents of our very own Solano County  celebs, but also a beautiful dessert buffet with coffee, tea and other after dinner treats.  Dancers will perform one solo dance with their own  student “pro”, and one group dance with the other “amateurs celebrities”…. All in good fun to raise dollars for Oakbrook's arts-based curriculum!
