DanceCraft: Key of Diamonds April 23-27 2024 (ONLINE OPTIONS AVAILABLE)

This is an IN PERSON and ONLINE event.

Key of Diamonds is Level 1 of Zoe Jake's certified dance program. The curriculum includes choreography, beginning finger cymbals, basic concept work, Zoe's Fusion Belly Dance aesthetic and introduction to Fusion Fundamentals (Old School) Movements. 3 years of belly dance experience is strongly suggested.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE (Subject to changes)

Tuesday April 23 through Saturday April 27 10 am - 5 pm PST daily. Lunch is 1- 2 pm.

There will be one 'evening' lab TBA. It will be recorded so can be watched later if the time is prohibitive.

Testing will be the last day April 27th at around 6:00-8:00 pm PST. International students can test Sunday April 28th 11am-1pm PST.

FULL CLASS ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED TO TEST.

PREREQUISITES:

*All participants must learn one choreography by video that will be available at least one month before the intensive.

*Must get the "Playing Finger Cymbals with Jamila Salimpour" CD. Practice and work with this before the intensive.

* *Watch "Act Coaching and Development" video by Zoe Jakes--link emailed with registration 2 months prior to workshop.

CERTIFICATION AND TESTING:

P LEASE NOTE: While recordings are available during the workshop week, they are not meant to replace live attendance. The recordings are for international online students who cannot attend live due to prohibitive timing (for example--middle of the night) of the classes. International online students are required to attend one full session everyday (either before or after lunch) AND are required to attend the first hour of the first class for orientation.

Certification will be awarded to those who have 100% participation in all classes and activities and pass the final exam at the end of the intensive. There is a $50 testing fee due at the beginning of the intensive. Testing is optional but required to move on to Level 2.

Full tuition is $700, with an additional $50 testing fee (optional). There is a payment plan for 2 payments of $365. Registration opens on October 1st, 2023 at 9am PST.
