About this event

Join us every Sunday for Filipino Folk Dance! We are so excited to be providing space for community to come and learn about Filipino Folk Dance and culture together. We now not only host Monday evening classes with Noelle Campos but are happy to announce these Sunday offerings being hosted by Ting Maquinta, multidisciplinary artist and artistic director of MPWRD Collective.

This month we will be diving into a dance from the Sama Dilaut indigenous group of Tawi-Tawi called, Igal. We will go over movement basics, vocabulary, as well as basic history of the region and its relation to the rest of the Philippines. We can't wait to dance with you all!

Please keep in mind that our classes for THE FIRST AND THIRD SUNDAY OF THE MONTH ARE FREE OF CHARGE. Classes for THE SECOND AND FOURTH SUNDAY OF THE MONTH ARE AVAILABLE FOR A SLIDING SCALE FEE.

**All ages are welcome and no experience is required. You do not have to be Filipino/x/a identified to join.

(Parent Guardian REQUIRED for anyone under the age of 16 and those with limited mobility should consider coming with a friend)
