Dance for the Fish
Event Information
Description
Come dance for the fish and help us launch a new web series about sustainable seafood! Each ticket sold will go directly to fund the first episode of the series, and as a ticket buyer you will get a special thanks in the credits, as part of the Dance for the Fish Crew. Your ticket purchase also grants you entry to a pop-up film screening of the first episode of the series this Fall. (Date/place tbd.)
Sustainable seafood means diversity in seafood. That's why we're bringing diversity in music and dance together for this event. There will be two dance performances by Dr. Raj, a Bollywood dancer and teacher and by Kukuwa, an African dancer and teacher. They're both amazing and they may even teach us a few moves! Carter Jackson-Brown will be DJing.
We'll also be screening footage from various ecosystems in Florida in the background. From the Springs in Central Florida, to the Keys, to tubing down the Itchnetucknee River, if you've always wanted to visit these places, now you'll get your chance! There will even be some dolphins, manatees, and sharks for us to dance with.
Thank you for helping Miami become a leader in environmental education! See you soon.
Enjoy Happy Hour prices from 8-11 at Floyd.
FAQs
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Lyft and Uber are always a great choice, but there is street parking nearby as well.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Contact sarah@sereiafilms.org
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope! If you have it on your phone, that works fine.
What do I wear?
If you've never been to Floyd, it's an upscale cocktail lounge, which means no open back shoes for the ladies (or guys). Other than that, dress nice and bring a big smile as we'll have a photographer there.
