Sharing Sessions are the Dominican Artists Collective [DAC] engagement initiative for our community of artists.

“Vamos A Reir Un Poco (Let’s laugh a little)” - Synopsis

Rick goes on a funny and heartfelt journey reflecting on his childhood to fatherhood.

His vivid memories growing up in Brooklyn, New York and colorful characters, embraces the highs and lows of his life.

Rick is faced with the fears of becoming a father, while revisiting the anger and abandonment of not having his father around.

(The staged reading will aim to run for 1 hour and there will also be a Q&A after the reading is done.)

About Rick

Rick “Wind” Herrera is an award-winning actor, writer and storyteller from Brooklyn, New York.

Now living in Arizona, Rick continues to write and perform content that blends humor, honesty, and vulnerability.

Being an artist and creating solo shows based on his life, has helped his personal growth; as it provided a space of healing, through laughter and truth.
