Data for the Common Good

Data for the Common Good (D4CG) is hosting our 2nd annual D4CG Live! event on June 5, coinciding with the ASCO conference in Chicago, IL.

MATTER

D4CG Live! will feature presentations from collaborators working with the D4CG and PCDC teams over the last year. The event will last from 10:30a-4:30pm CT, with a happy hour reception to follow. He served as Director of the National Cancer Institute from 2017 to 2022, and as Acting Commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration in 2019. Prior to government, Dr. Sharpless was Director of the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at UNC. He founded G1 Therapeutics, which developed the FDA-approved medicine Cosela (Trilaciclib), used to prevent chemotherapy toxicity. He is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research Academy, the Association of American Physicians, the American Society for Clinical Investigation, and the National Academy of Medicine.Todd Cooper, DODr. Cooper is an attending physician at Seattle Children's Hospital, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and Evan's Family Endowed Chair in Pediatric Cancer. Dr. Cooper is the Director of the Pediatric Leukemia/Lymphoma Program and Co-Director of the High-Risk Leukemia Program. Dr. Cooper's interests and expertise focus on the development of new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of acute leukemia in children. Prior to his work in Seattle, Dr. Cooper developed and provided leadership for Phase I/Developmental Therapeutics programs at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta/Emory University.Sarah BartoszSarah Bartosz has more than 20 years of experience in non-profits. She is the Executive Director of the Beat Childhood Cancer Foundation, a national childhood cancer non-profit dedicated to increasing funding for childhood cancer research, innovative clinical trials, and precision medicine attacking solid tumor childhood cancers. Sarah is also the President and Co-founder of the Gold In September (G9) Project, dedicated to growing awareness and inspiring action to support childhood cancer research and clinical trials. She is on the boards of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), the Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2), and the MaGIC Consortium, among others.Kara Kelly, MDDr. Kelly is a pediatric oncologist and the Chair of Roswell Park Oishei Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Program, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma in children and adolescents. Dr. Kelly has chaired the NCI-supported Children’s Oncology Group (COG) Hodgkin lymphoma committee since 2011 and led two national clinical trials for high-risk Hodgkin lymphoma through the COG. She currently serves as a member of both the Scientific Advisory Board and the Adolescent and Young Adult Initiative Committee of the Lymphoma Research Foundation. David Rodeberg, MD, FACSDr. Rodeberg is a nationally celebrated pediatric surgeon and chief of pediatric surgery at Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Dr. Rodeberg previously worked at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine and ECU Health Maynard Children’s Hospital, where he served as surgeon-in-chief. He is recognized as an expert in pediatric surgical oncology through his involvement in the Children’s Oncology Group Sarcoma Committee and the International Soft Tissue Sarcoma Consortium.
