CycleHack is a global movement that is on a mission tomake the world more sustainable by reducing the barriersto cycling. CycleHack focuses on bringing people andtheir places together to discuss and generate solutionsto barriers that stop or inhibit people from successfullycycling.Through a range of activities, we bring together a rangeof people with different skill sets and experiences tolook at cycling in a new way. We believe that throughempowering individuals, organisations and governmentsto collaborate, share skills and prototype new ideasaround cycling, we can build a healthier, more active andsustainable world.26 cities took part in CycleHack Global 2017, across 4 continents.

This not for profit event aims to help you create ideas that tackle the barriers to cycling and provides you with tools, space and support to build it by the end of the weekend.
This is the kick off event for <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.cyclehacklondon.com/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CycleHack London</A>, hosting a range of talks about barriers to cycling in the city of London.  You'll catch a glimpse of the opening film for CycleHack with hellos from across the globe and introductions from the founders. Hosted in partnership with the <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://futurecities.catapult.org.uk/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Future Cities Catapult</A>, we'll be talking and asking you for your London CycleHack barriers and ideas.
The wider CycleHack runs from Friday to Sunday, the London branch of <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.cyclehack.com/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cyclehack</A> will see events happening throughout the city. From weekend long hackathons to 1 hour micro-hacks, drop in workshops, talks and parties – you are welcome join for as little or as long as you like!  The full schedule can be found <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.cyclehacklondon.com/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</A> and tickets will be sold seperately to this event. 
Tickets for the Friday night are £5 and will guarentee you a beer or wine on entry. All takings go into the running of CycleHack. Our suggested donation is £5.00 but we also run a 'pay what you can' concession as we believe in open access. We won't turn anyone away for lack of funds. Cyclehack is not for profit and happens in over 35 cities as a result of kind donations and work of many volunteers.

Sasha Afansieva from <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://blubel.co/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Blubel</A>
Sasha started her career in the investment banking industry, specialising in the technology sector and advising startups on fundraising funding and business strategy at GP Bullhound. After six years, she left the world of banking to join On Purpose, a social enterprise leadership programme, where she consulted a number of organisations on driving social and environmental impact. While at On Purpose she founded Blubel - connected technology that makes urban cycling easy and stress-free. She picked up coding and basic electronics design to develop the first prototypes and tested it with various cyclists to ensure the product design is truly addressing the problems cyclists face, rather than just creating another gadget. Since then Blubel has won the IBM Smart City Challenge and has been selected to be a part of the European Space Agency Incubation Programme.

Russell Cannon from TFL
Russell Cannon is a Principal Strategy Planner at Transport for London. Russell’s team are responsible for realising TfL’s cycling vision and meeting ambitious targets for cycling growth in London.
A law graduate, Russell joined TfL’s commercial team in 2012 and worked on a number of projects, including implementation of new pan-London traffic control contract, a Cycle Hire scheme transformation programme and an innovative e-bikes project. Working on Cycle Hire sparked Russell’s interest in the wider impact of cycling and he subsequently joined the Cycling Strategy team, where his primary focus is ensuring TfL’s cycling programme attracts new users and demographics, driving the ‘normalisation’ agenda.

Max is working as Senior Innovation Developer for the Geovation Hub, based in Clerkenwell. The Geovation Hub is Britain's pioneering location data lab. A place to collaborate, exchange ideas, innovate and be inspired by access to brilliant geospatial data. Each year, 10 companies are selected to take part in our Accelerator Programme. Geovation supports these companies through an intensive 6 months as they develop their businesses, providing professional support and developer resource. 
 
Monika Zamojska from <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.lbk.org.uk/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">London Bike Kitchen</A>.
Monika has worked in the cycling industry for almost seven years, and recently joined Brixton Cycles as a probationary member. She volunteers for London Bike Kitchen helping run their Women and Gender Variant Nights. She also co-founded a feminist reflective clothing brand House of Astbury. Her favourite thing to do in the winter is plowing through muddy fields in yet another cyclocross race.

Richard is the Founder of CycleFox, a new London based website which is helping to connect local communities with all the amazing cycling places, people, products and events across London.  CycleFox want to help make happier places to live. They believe the bicycle has a big role to play in building happier, more vibrant and connected communities. They’re also passionate about the idea that collaboration is more powerful than competition. That’s why they also create opportunities for those working on bicycle related projects across London to get together and collaborate. Sharing ideas, challenges and experiences can make each independent venture stronger. This leads to increased impact – helping more people make cycling a bigger part of their London life.
 
James Marr from <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://bamboobicycleclub.org/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bamboo Bicycle Club</A>
Hear from James Marr, founder of the Bamboo Bicycle Club, an established London based workshop, which enables people to design and build bespoke bamboo bicycles. It offers in-house workshops, a wide range of home build kits, and education packs for various ages. The Club is the only one of its kind in Europe and has attracted attention from Cornwall to the Philippines.
