 FAQs:

What is CycleHack?
CycleHack is an annual event now in its fifth year, and taking place all over the world from 10-12th of August 2018. CycleHack is on a mission to make the world more sustainable through encouraging people to take a proactive, DIY approach to reducing the barriers to cycling. We believe that through empowering people, organisations and governments to collaborate, share skills and test new cycling ideas, we can build a healthier, more active and sustainable world, and get more people on two wheels.
CycleHack started in Glasgow in 2014 and has grown steadily in size and impact since. Previous years have lead to innovations such as <A HREF="https://vimeo.com/98808131" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Penny in Yo' Pants</A> and <A HREF="https://vimeo.com/193361025" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Amsterdam’s first Bicycle Mayor</A>. All the ideas created are shared on the <A HREF="https://www.cyclehack.com/catalogue/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CycleHack Open Source Catalogue</A> for the world to see, share and use in their own cities.

I can’t make the whole weekend. Can I still come?
Ideally, you’ll be able to make the whole event and to support the building of hacks throughout, but you are under no obligation to stay the whole time.

I’m not a cyclist. Can I come?
Of course, everyone is welcome! If you consider yourself a non-cyclist, then this is the perfect opportunity to hack the barriers which stop you from getting on the saddle. We want to make the world bike-friendly for everyone, and get more people on two wheels.

Who is behind all this?
CycleHack was founded in 2014 by cyclists Sarah, Jo and Matt. They are the driving force behind the Global CycleHack. CycleHack Glasgow is brought to you by Snook, an award-winning service design agency.
CycleHack would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, who love cycling and innovation as much as we do.
