This session is a joint meetup between the MN Women in Tech and the Alliance of Channel Women - Minnesota, hosted at FRSecure in Edina, MN. We will hear from a couple of cyber-knowledgeable ladies, giving us all the coveted data, while we sip on Firewall Fizz (non-alcoholic available too!) and hack our way through some cryptic baked goods. Speaker: Tonya Barnes | Key Account Manager | FRSecure Tonya Barnes, Key Account Manager at FRSecure, spends her days advancing her company's mission “to fix a broken information security industry.” With expertise across multiple roles within her organization, Tonya applies her education background to develop relationships with her clients to strengthen and elevate their infosec security program. As a former teacher, her experience enables her to provide clients with consistent dedication, service, and excellence. During her career transition from education to infosec, Tonya has also developed a passion for supporting others—guiding them to embrace new opportunities and pursue their aspirations in the field of infosec. Outside of work, Tonya is an avid musician. She holds a master’s degree in music education and is currently the Artistic Director of the Northern Lights Chorale and Unum Vox. Both ensembles are community-based organizations where she continues to hone her conducting and leaderships skills while choosing musical repertoire that focuses on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She is also an in-demand clinician, adjudicator, and performer within the state of Minnesota. Speaker: Mel Kolinski | Director, Channel Development | Ostra CybersecurityMel Kolinski is the Director of Channel Development at Ostra Cybersecurity, a multi-layered and fully managed Security as a Service. In her role, Mel works with Ostra's Channel Partners to deliver best-in-class cyber protection to small and medium-sized businesses. She is also the co-moderator of the Alliance of Channel Women (ACW) Minnesota Chapter. With more than 15 years of sales and account management experience, Mel is an engaging leader who is focused on finding solutions. Her ability to connect and build authentic relationships with others has enabled her to exponentially grow her network, identify new opportunities, and craft innovative strategies to successfully navigate a complex sales channel. This talent has played a pivotal role in nurturing long-lasting partnerships and driving significant growth. Prior to joining Ostra, Mel worked as the National Hospitality Sales Leader at LIXIL Water Technology.
