A virtual cybersecurity convention by the Internet Law and Policy Foundry and Women in Cybersecurity Privacy, Policy & Law Affiliate

For Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the Internet Law and Policy Foundry (ILPF) and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) Privacy, Policy &amp; Law Affiliate are pleased to present CYBER CON, a virtual cybersecurity convention intended for all communities of interest. Whether you work in the cybersecurity or technology circles or have an interest in learning more about the latest developments in cyber policy, CYBER CON is an inclusive event that will cover a variety of topics. CYBER CON will take place on Friday, October 28, starting at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT and running until 2:30 p.m. ET / 11:30 a.m. PT. The schedule is as follows:<ul><li>11-11:30 a.m. ET / 8-8:30 a.m. PT: “Updates on the Cybersecurity Threat Landscape” featuring an expert panel with Rikki George (CME Group), Amie Dsouza (Southwest Airlines), and Sasha Hondagneu-Messner (Sidley Austin) (30 min)</li></ul><ul><li>11:40 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ET / 8:40-9:30 a.m. PT: A fireside chat with Josephine Wolff (Associate Professor of Cybersecurity Policy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University) on her latest book “Cyberinsurance Policy: Rethinking Risk in an Age of Ransomware, Computer Fraud, Data Breaches, and Cyberattacks” (50 min)</li></ul><ul><li>12:40- 1:30 p.m. ET / 9:40-10:30 a.m. PT: A workshop with Kassi Burns (senior E-Discovery attorney with King &amp; Spalding) on “Cyber Hygiene for the Legal Profession” (50 min)</li></ul><ul><li>1:40-2:30 p.m. ET / 10:40 - 11:30 a.m. PT: “Cyber Invisibility: Understanding Spyware and Stalkerware Harm” — a keynote panel with Eva Galperin (Director of Cybersecurity at the Electronic Frontier Foundation) and Siena Anstis (Senior Legal Advisor at Citizen Lab) on the intersections of human rights, policy and security regarding government surveillance and spyware, and the weaponization of stalkerware (50 min)</li></ul><a href="https://www.ilpfoundry.us/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Foundry</a> is a collaborative organization for Internet law and policy professionals passionate about disruptive innovation.
