About this event

  • 2 hours

Join us at the REC to learn the art of cyanotype. Cyanotype is a printing process that uses the power of sunlight to create images. Using cut plant material from the YouthGROW farm, participants will explore this art form to create beautiful original works of flower/plant art on fabric. Participants will have time to create two fabric prints.

This workshop is drop-in and kid-friendly!

This workshop will be led by Patricia Kirkpatrick. Patricia is a fifth-year flower grower and manager of Flower Crown Farm located near downtown Worcester. Flower Crown grows from seed and offers fresh, local bouquets June-October through CSA sales and a pop-up farm stand, as well as flower-themed community workshops.

Patricia takes her work as a steward of reclaimed urban green space very seriously. She and her family of five always welcome visitors to the farm during the growing season!
