The Human Growth Foundation (HGF) invites you to participate in the HGF Endocrine PUBERTY Lecture Series on "Current Treatment Options for CPP: Compare and Contrast," presented by Dr. Karen Klein.
The live webinar will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 12 pm - 1 pm EST, followed by live Q & A.
This lecture will cover the currently available treatment options for central precocious puberty. Similarities and differences, as well as data from each of the pivitol studies will be reviewed and compared.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to name and describe the unique properties of each of the available GnRHa for the treatment of central precocious puberty.
2. Participants will understand the supportive data and have a critical assessment of clinical relevance
3. Participants will gain tools for making decisions and helping families make decisions about treatment options.
About the Presenter:
Earning her medical degree at the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and completing a residency in pediatrics at the same institution, Dr. Klein went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the National Institute of Child Health and Development, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md.
Dr. Klein's clinical and research interests include pubertal development and growth, and the treatment of precocious puberty. She has lectured on these topics locally, nationally, and internationally, and her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. She also enjoys teaching and mentoring students, residents, and fellows.
Dr. Karen Klein is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
