Online ticket sales end 2 hours prior to the start of the event. Pre-registration is only available online via credit card payment. Tickets may still be purchased at the door using cash, check, or credit card.Late seating is at the discretion of the artist and The Dance Complex, and may not be available after the start time of a performance. In general, we advise arriving at least 15 minutes before the show start time. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show, at which time our bar is open in our lobby space. After the show has begun, entry is not guaranteed and refunds are not available. You may receive a refund through Eventbrite up until 24 hours prior to the event.Our ground-level lobby area and performance space is ADA compliant. Gender-neutral accessible bathrooms are located on both the ground and second-floor levels of the building. There is a motorized lift that can bring one person at a time from the ground floor to the second floor should a guest wish to use it. CURE8 Cambridge livens up Kendall Square bringing two uplifting nights of intertwined and interdependent dance performances!

Alexandria Nunweiler and Ashlea Sovetts present CURE8 Cambridge, two evenings of dance brought together by interdependent and intertwined relationships in the community at Complex@Canal, Saturday April 30th at 8 p.m., and Sunday May 1, at 7 p.m.For these performances, the curators invited newly formed collaborative, The Click to share “Survival Aesthetics,” which explores variations of beauty and argues aesthetics are key to survival. Duo Decent Dance brings “cradled in the arms of myself (with you)” along with independent choreographer Rachel Linsky who is reviving the music of Erwin Schulhoff, a Jewish composer and holocaust victim. Ashlea Sovetts premieres “in her little room,” inspired by her grandmother’s diary and the stories exchanged of regret, loss, hope, and eternal love. The collaborators together present “10 Recalling-20,” a duet based on interviews from ten individuals spanning ages 4 to 85, weaving a crosshatch of the American experience in crisis and the reconnection of society.Nunweiler &amp; Sovetts’ hopes for CURE8 Cambridge is that it will “be an uplifting experience and shed light on true stories, natural beauty, and fond memories” as they strengthen the bridge of dance on the east coast from South Carolina to Massachusetts.This performance is supported by the South Carolina Arts Commission, Alternate Roots, and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.Alexandria Nunweiler and Ashlea Sovetts BiographiesUnnamed dance duo Alexandria Nunweiler and Ashlea Sovetts foster work in storytelling, daily life experiences, and community building. After meeting during their undergraduate years and dancing together abroad in Sorrento, Italy, they reconnected through the wonders of Zoom to create an ongoing collaboration that spans the east coast from Myrtle Beach to Boston. Their premiere work, “10 Recalling-20” has been featured at the first ever Equinox Dance Festival, BOOM Charlotte, and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival earning them a “Philly Fringie” in the dance category.
