There are over 50 million people trapped in modern day slavery today, and every 1 in 4 of those people are children. Instead of playing, growing and learning they are enslaved to work tirelessly in inhumane conditions. International Justice Mission has worked for over 27 years to rescue and protect people from violence. IJM and their partners collaborate with local authorities to strengthen justice systems, building communities where all people can expect to be safe and protected. Peninsula Bible Church Cupertino is sponsoring the IJM Romania office which fights sex trafficking, and this race is to benefit them. Create a page on our team fundraising site (https://ijm.donordrive.com/team/bayarea) and ask your friends and family to sponsor you. Raise $500 and you’ll get a free IJM t-shirt! Otherwise, wear royal blue along with comfortable clothing and shoes. We'll do 14 laps (or however many you can do) on a paved loop. Refreshments and water will be provided. Meet at the group picnic area opposite the Quinlan Center.
