Whatever the case might be, we invite you to join us at Culture Makers—a space where we make these topics open for discussion.
What is Culture Makers?
Culture Makers is a transformative third space for underrepresented communities who seek liberation. In our intermediary environment, individuals from underserved communities can freely express their identities, discover inspiring role models, and collaborate to challenge oppressive societal norms. We will engage in critical dialogues, develop empowering skills, and collectively strive to foster greater inclusion and understanding in mainstream settings.
About our first event
During our first event, we delve into the mainstream creative sectors to critically analyze the prevalent logics, assumptions, and norms that frequently exclude minorities. We have invited Fatima Llouh, An Rietjens, Naïm Baddich and Manuel Lopez who are active within these arenas to share their insights and experiences. Together, we will explore and discuss effective strategies for transforming these spaces into more inclusive and welcoming environments for all creatives.
So mark your calendar for June 6th, grab a friend or fly solo, and come hang out at Culture Makers. Trust us, you don't want to miss this.
We'll kick things off with a warm welcome at 18:30, followed by an inspiring panel discussion and Q&A session from 19:00 to 20:00. Then, it's time to mingle, network, and discuss over snacks and drinks until 21:30.
