Why Cuddling?
Jeff says:
After I left my sexless marriage, I did a lot of self inquiry and discovery. I realized I had a difficult time asking for what I want . In my attempt to make others happy, I lost myself and my own needs. I’ve done hit a bit of healing including lots of “head knowledge” but nothing heals faster than unconditional love, human connection, and bonding. The cuddle party I attended was huge for me because I got to practice asking for what I want and saying no. Both of which I tend to feel lots of guilt over. I was nervous at first, but once I got into my first cuddle position, I felt safe and at ease. I’ll never forget that feeling of not having to talk or impress anyone. I could just relax into genuine good feelings I was experiencing.
Annabeth says:
I grew up learning how to ignore my body and listen only to my mind. My romantic relationships kept falling apart and I felt helpless to get my desires met. Since then, I've been working with meditation, authentic relating and circling, nonviolent communication, and tantra to learn how to truly be with myself and bring my authenticity in my interactions with others. I've learned that there is immense wisdom in my body, and that for me basic human touch helps my mind relax and my body awaken to its intelligence.
Who is This For?
This workshop is for adults, singles, and couples who want to experience a way to get their physical needs met in a conscious and loving way without feeling guilty or awkward. It's for all genders, races, ages, and body types. We are all human beings and citizens of Earth and we provide a safe, nonjudgemental space to be your true self. That's what we encourage.
How it Works:
We will guide you through several ice breaker games that help you release any anxiety and fear that you feel upon entering. We understand that some of you are first timers and edging into new territory outside your comfort zone.
The ice breaker games help you get out of your head and into your body. We will facilitate several verbal interactive games to help you get comfortable communicating your needs and wants. After the facilitated practice time, there will be time for everyone to practice these skills on their own. You can come and just watch and learn, or participate as much as you want!
