An alumna of Tompkins Cortland Community College, Empire State College, and Ithaca College, Alison has earned an MS in Strategic Communication,RYT 200hour yoga instructor, reiki practitioner, Cuddle Party Facilitator, and Cuddlist certifications. She is a skilled communicator who incorporates Reiki blessing in the healing touch ofCuddlistas well as holding a nurturing and inclusive space forCuddle Partyevents.Rawlins discovered her passion for the listening, sharing space, and ways of being tender with one another which are the fundamental practice of professional cuddling during the spring of 2018 while enrolled in theRadiance Courseat Yoga Farm where she also earned her RYT200 certification. Previously she served the Greek Letter community as a manager of member communications programs for groups at Cornell and other universities. Alison is passionate about the particular style of assertive and respectful affirmative consent practice modeled in theCuddle Party.

Cuddle Party is a workshop on affirmative consent. We'll get in touch with the type of affectionate touch that we each desire to courageously ask for. You may say "no" to every request if you like. Changing your mind if something you thought you wanted doesn't work out is encouraged - it means you are stretching and experimenting. We know some people are going to be hung up on partnering or gender balance, but it doesn't have to mean anything to give or recieve a pleasant touch with someone of the same gender, or of a different gender.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
All those who participate should be 18 years old or older. There won't be any alcohol served, so you won't need any form of legal ID.
 
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is parking on the street. You should be able to find a spot reasonably close. If you let me know that you need or can offer a ride, I may be able to match people up, but I won't be providing any direct transportation. The TCAT bus service has a nearby drop-off as well.
 
What can I bring into the event?
You may bring any blankets, pillows, or stuffed critters you would like to sooth yourself, or to share. Musical instruments can be fun to play. You could bring a book or journal or even a craft project to work on.
 
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please contact me via email or text message first - I usually respond to messages within 24 hours, and if you would like to speak on the phone, we could schedule that.

What's the refund policy?
If you cancel with at least 24 hours notice, you will get a full refund. If you miss that and decide not to come, then you could come to the next event. If you come and decide to leave at the end of our Welcome Circle, a refund will be offered.
 
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
If you purchase a ticket under a different name, please contact me so I will know who to expect.
