About this event

Cuckoo's Open Mic variety open mic/show hosted by cabaret singer Jackson Sturkey with a mix of musicians, comedians and other variety acts (magic,burlesque, poetry, even puppets!). It is a night of open mic acts (7 minutes each!) drawn randomly at the top of the show and in the middle is a featured performer or headliner who does a 30 minute act. We encourage performers and audience alike to come to Soho Playhouse 9:30 pm every Wednesday and experience the magic!

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

5 Dollars! If your performing you get seven minutes, that’s more than 1 minute per dollar (a fantastic deal if you ask me, doorperson and comedian Ethan Filler)

How do I pay?

At the door! Five dollars preferably in cash but if need be we take Venmo, no card unfortunately.

Can I really do anything?

Yes! Anything! With some exceptions, 1. No fire (we are NOT insured) 2. No Glitter (it never completely goes away, not once. EVER) 3. If you make a mess take it with you! (If you can’t reasonably clean something up without leaving residue in say, under a minute it’s probably too messy for us)
