No. This is the perfect class for an absolute beginner or a seasoned dancer.

Can I bring a dance skirt or handkerchief?

Yes, though not required. If you bring a long/flowy dance skirt (think flamenco -esque) you'll learn how to showcase a feminine expression of rumba and "work the skirt." The handkerchief will showcase a male expression of rumba. Feel free to choose what you would like to learn.
