Cub Scout Weekend

Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Join us for a weekend of fun!  Cub Scouts are invited to spend the weekend at the Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center to pursue activities for several badges and to earn the National Park Resource Stewardship Scout Ranger certificate and patch. Ticket sales end April 22, 2018. 
This will be a fun-filled weekend with hiking, exploring the ecosystems and the watershed on campus at the education center, a fun geology hike at the Virginia Kendall Ledges to conclude the weekend, activity fulfill badge requirements detailed below, and a ton more!  All of the programming throughout the weekend will be facilitated by our experienced field instructor staff.  If your scouts already will have completed the requirements for the awards that we will be working on by the time of the weekend, it still will be a fun and exciting experience for them.
 Some of what is provided includes:

Lodging in our modern AC/Heated dorm buildings.  Shared accommodations with twin mattress bunk beds, indoor bath/shower rooms with hot water, and more.

<LI>
Meals from dinner Friday through breakfast on Sunday prepared by our culinary staff at the Education Center with locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
</LI>
<LI>
All programming materials and planning provided by staff at the Education Center.  Awards must be provided by scout leaders if they would like them to be presented at the closing ceremony.  National Park Resource Stewardship Scout Certificate and patch provided for all cub scouts in attendance.

Tigers – “My Tiger Jungle” will be completed.
</LI>
<LI>
Wolves – “Digging in the Past” will be completed.
</LI>
<LI>
Bears – “Fur, Feathers, and Ferns” will be completed.
</LI>
<LI>
Webelos – “Earth Rocks!” will be completed.
</LI>

Deposits can be purchased for all scouts and adult chaperones to secure your spot. The balance will be due two weeks prior to the weekend.
