CryptoParty: A Digital Self-Defense Workshop

Artists for Truth (AfT) is a newly formed fundraising and educational platform to support information literacy and freedoms, and to explore the artist’s role in amplifying, reflecting, and addressing societal concerns. AfT believes the ability to discover, share, and weigh facts is a right and a responsibility for everyone within our democracy. In a political and media climate that disregards reality, AfT mobilizes artists in the fight to enable citizens with the skills and tools to effectively develop a civil society based on truth.

Artists for Truth

Artists for Truth believes truth-tellers must be protected and defended, particularly those on the front lines of democracy.
Join us for a CryptoParty to learn to protect your digital securities. Topics will include: encrypted communication, avoiding being tracked while browsing the web, and general security advice regarding computers and smartphones. To try the tools and apps directly at the CryptoParty, bring your laptop or smartphone. 
A one-hour training session will be followed by two hours of hands-on experience working with the tools introduced.
CryptoParties are free and open for everyone, but especially those without prior knowledge, who haven't yet attended one. lt will be led by volunteers in the Baltimore CryptoParty scene.

CryptoParty is a decentralized movement to pass on knowledge about protecting yourself in the digital space. 
Artists for Truth Technology Sunday:
This CryptoParty will be followed by a <A HREF="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/art-feminism-wikipedia-edit-a-thon-tickets-34768118378" TARGET="_blank" REL="noopener noreferrer">Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon</A> presented by Art + Feminism, 1:00-4:00 p.m. We encourage participants to stay for both events! Lunch will be provided.
