<h1>Unpacking the Scriptures—Teaching</h1><ul><li>(8) Thursdays, 6-9 pm</li><li>September 10 - October 29</li><li>In-person (Bahnson Center) or Real-time Distance Learning via Zoom</li><li>Instructor: Rev. Roberta Kearney</li></ul><p>Even if you are not identified as teacher within your congregation, understanding of different learning styles, the relationship between age and learning, the importance of identifying teaching moments, and the actual practice of teaching are valuable skills to cultivate. From children’s chats to adult education, teaching can take so many forms that require a range of skills.</p>

<strong>Rev. ROBERTA KEARNEY </strong>(pronounced Carnee) has 30 years ministry experience as a lay leader and pastor. As a lifelong learner, more than half of her ministry involved teaching, equipping people to lead various aspects of Christian education from infants to 80 year olds, and designing and implementing learning events for the whole family. Roberta has served in churches of all sizes, from 500 to 2,000 to 75 members. Christian education is not a matter of one-size fits all and so in each context she has celebrated learning new approaches to the important ministry of discipleship. For the last 10 years she has served as an interim/transitional pastor, with even more opportunity to celebrate the uniqueness of every congregation.
