CRITICAL ISSUES FORUM -- CLOSING GEORGIA'S TALENT GAP
The Challenge: We’ve long known that Georgia faces a serious shortage of qualified workers for the highest demand jobs in Georgia.  Employers have expressed interest in hiring local talent for their openings but indicate they are forced to recruit from out of state to get the skills needed. This is an especially prevalent view from industries that require highly trained and skilled workers, such as manufacturing and entertainment. 
 The Solution: The Partnership’s upcoming Critical Issues Forum examines overall trends, early successes and proof points that will provide a clear understanding of the challenges and types of recommendations and educational partnerships needed to build a sustainable workforce infrastructure for Georgia.
