What to expect:
This session will bring together subject matter experts for a facilitated discussion on how infrastructure systems are interconnected, the cascading risks that can arise during significant flood events, and opportunities to strengthen regional coordination. EPS and LFFC are working with UBC Faculty of Engineering to build a network dependency model that will help inform regional planning.
Together, we will:
- Explore infrastructure interdependencies across jurisdictions
- Identify regional vulnerabilities and cascading risks
- Share local perspectives and technical insights
- Inform next steps for coordinated regional action
