Tucson Village Farm is a youth-centered working urban farm. Our seed to table program is designed to reconnect young people to a healthy food system, teach them how to grow and prepare fresh food, and empower them to make healthy choices.

Tucson Village Farm's "Big" Farm

Through Tucson Village Farm's pilot art program, artist Lindee Zimmer is offering a brand new workshop focused on explorations in creativity and wellness. This workshop will explore breathing, yoga, journaling, and different art mediums to encourage opening your creative self. Every week, through prompts, practices, and movement, we will explore creative wellness and expression. All sessions will begin with breath practice, incorporate movement through dance and yoga, offer healthy snacks, and involve expression through art making. Please bring an open mind and notebook that you love, this is a great opportunity to start a journal that is focused on creative healing. If you do not have a notebook we have unbound paper in our space that you are welcome to use. No art experience is required and beginners are encouraged! You may notice that there is a separate ticket offering for this class for youth at a much lower price. As part of our mission to offer inclusive educational wellness programs to youth, each adult ticket that is purchased will also cover most of the cost for a spot for a youth to attend the same class at a different time. So, the value of this ticket not only provides an amazing learning experience for your own mental wellness but also supports access for a local youth. Week 1 - March 3:10am-12pm youth, 1pm-3pm adultWeek 2 - March 10:10am-12pm youth, 1pm-3pm adultWeek 3 - March 17:10am-12pm youth, 1pm-3pm adultWeek 4 - March24:10am-12pm youth, 1pm-3pm adult YOUTH (12-17) Tickets (10am - 12pm) Whole session tickets are $10 for HLA members, $25 for the public.ADULT (18+) Tickets (1pm-3pm) are $60/class OR $220 ($20 discount) for all 4 sessions. Due to high demand for youth programming we are only offering the youth tickets as a whole series. If you reserve a youth ticket please be sure that you can attend each class date for the four week series.Adults: Although we offer individual classes for adults we strongly encourage you to sign up for the whole series to make the most of your creative experience.
