Calling all 9-15 year-old writers! The YAC Creative Writing Camp is not writing as you know it! School is out and it’s time to have some fun in the sun! The YAC is designed to instruct and enrich promising students in a hands-on, experiential and fun atmosphere, while fostering their writing abilities. This camp will provide an opportunity for youth to discover the power and excitement of creative writing. Every young scribe will be inspired and encouraged to hone their writing skills in an exciting, interactive environment. Imagine the entire downtown Elizabeth City as your classroom!
They will learn about the writing process, how to be an organized writer, and most of all, how to generate creative thoughts.
Your ticket cost includes EVERYTHING!
That is:
- Breakfast, lunch, and snacks
- Writing supplies
- Art supplies
- Camp T-shirt
- Tickets for immediate family members to the Writers’ Cafe on Friday at noon, where writers get to share their pieces for their family. At the cafe, we will have lunch, good music, and then a gallery walk of some great stories!
