Your budding artist is going to love this four-day-long paint camp! During this week, your artist will learn the fundamentals of painting. They will learn how to blend, create different textures, correct mistakes and so much more! Each day, your artist will also get an opportunity to create their own masterpiece by listening to step-by-step instructions from a professional artist. At the end of the week, your artist will have created 4 paintings to take home with them, as well as have learned about different famous artists throughout history.
Play-by-play of each day:
Monday- Create the color wheel and learn/practice blending techniques in the morning. Recreate Georgia O’Keeffe’s famous Red Poppy on a 11x14 canvas.
Tuesday- Learn the grey scale, how to change the tone and brightness of a color, the importance of contrast and fixing errors. Step by step class on recreating Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
Wednesday- Texture techniques using water and changing the thickness of our paint, and texture through different tools. Create galaxy paintings using primarily our fingers.
Thursday- Learn how to create different skin tones, tips and tricks to painting portraits and review of famous artists. Paint our very own self portraits.
How to Prepare:
Please pack a lunch and water bottle for your child to bring each day. An additional snack and beverage will be provided.
Wear clothes that can get messy! While we have aprons for your child to wear, we will be getting a bit messy so it’s best to wear comfy play clothes.
* A parent must sign a waiver for their child to participate in our summer camp program.
* Your child must be picked up on time every day.
* Every student will leave with 4 completed paintings on 11x14 stretched canvases and a personal sketchbook. All materials needed to learn and create will be provided.
* All sales final. We do not offer refunds or transfers if you choose to cancel your child's spot in camp.
