Jacqui Beck (www.jacquibeck.com) is an artist, art educator, and creativity coach living in Seattle, Washington. She has been teaching students of all ages for over fifteen years and is an adjunct professor of art at Seattle Pacific University. Her award-winning expressive acrylic paintings are collected and exhibited in the United States, Canada, Europe, and New Zealand and are available through Michael Birawer Gallery, Columbia City Gallery and artEAST Gallery. Creative Journaling is all about exploration and expression without the pressure of trying to produce artwork for exhibition. It’s a private place to create, fool around, delight in, explore, and develop ideas.
This workshop combines Art Journaling, using a Sketchbook, Book Altering, Journaling, Poetry, and Creativity Coaching. It will be an experimental journey with many ideas you can take with you.
Journaling can act as:

FAQs
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is a pay parking lot on the corner of 45th and 8th Ave NE (on the west side of 8th). You can get two free hours in this lot and then you have to pay for the rest of the time. Another option is to park on the street. There may be time limits on street parking, so be careful. Here is the procedure for getting the two free hours:

<LI>Print receipt and place on dashboard</LI>

What supplies will I need for this class? 
I’ll provide a lot of the supplies, and I’ll send you a list of materials to bring/ buy when you register. Artist & Craftsman Supply offers a 10% discount for students in this class (before and during the class). Take your supply list with you when you shop to show that you’re in the class.

What's the refund policy?
If you need to cancel, tuition (less $50 registration fee) will be refunded up to three weeks prior to the class. 
 
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes. 
 
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, but it's best if you let me know who will be attending the class and their contact information so that I can be in touch with them prior to the class.
 
What food is available nearby? 
There are restaurants nearby but it's easiest if you bring a lunch and snacks. There is hot water for tea. 
 
Other Information
Wear clothes you're happy to get paint on, and the classroom can be chilly so bring an extra sweater.
