Creative Grounding
This arts-based experience explores collective care through mindfulness, breathwork, poetry, reflection, tea meditation, and more.
Grounded in Creative Praxis’s healing-centered approach, this arts-based, in-person session invites participants into an immersive experience of mindfulness, connection, and collective care. Through guided meditation, breathwork, ritual, and reflective practices, participants will explore practical techniques that restore calm, clarity, and focus. Drawing inspiration from the mindfulness teachings of Thích Nhất Hạnh, the session highlights the breath as both an anchor and a liberatory tool for returning to the present moment.
Using elements of poetry and visual arts, participants are offered space to creatively reflect while engaging culturally relevant strategies to regulate the nervous system, release stress, and cultivate deeper awareness. Participants will engage in practices such as guided breathwork, a tea meditation ritual, and the co-creation of a shared sacred space—each designed to support grounding, presence, and connection.
Rooted in the understanding that individual well-being is interconnected with community well-being, this session supports participants in strengthening compassionate relationships.
