This summer, we are hosting a free (!) four-day camp for those entering grades 6-9.
Burnham Library will again be hosting a free (!) four-day camp for those entering grades 6-9 this summer, thanks to a generous grant from Vermont Humanities.
The aim is for participants to explore different genres of creative expression through words and visuals, as well as hear from creative people working in those fields.
Local professionals will join us to talk about their work in specific humanities areas – journalism/podcasting, poetry, prose, and comics/graphic novels – with participants able to work independently and collaboratively to flex their creativity in these different formats.
Snacks will be provided each day, and participants will also receive a bundle of books to keep.
Please only sign up if you can attend every day; the "Participant Questions" responses should be in the words of the child being signed up.
Once you have completed this preliminary registration, we will be in touch with the official permission slip. Your registration will not be considered complete until you have completed the Permission Slip. (The Photo Release form is optional but we would to be able to show off all of the camp's activities!)
