Please join The Arts Alliance for the Creative Exchange Workshop: Painted Eggs with artist/instructor Ivanka Lempitskiy. In this class, students will learn how to decorate an empty, cleaned chicken egg shell, using beeswax and vegetable dyes. This old tradition of celebrating the new circle of life, has been around for hundreds of years. The designs to apply to the egg vary in lines, colors, and images. It is common to draw the scenes from everyday life of people, and also to apply any symbolic patterns. Participants will be able to decorate and take home at least one egg. They will work with a special tool to draw images on the egg and will be using vegetable dyes to color the egg. ENJOY this ancient 2000 year old tradition, as we welcome spring!This class is designed for student 12 years and older.
