💙 Let the Blues Inspire You

The blues can catch you anytime. Of course, we all know about the blues in music—but what about painting the blues? Most famously, Picasso explored emotion and mood through his Blue Period. And who could forget Yves Klein, who painted and printed entirely in blue! Contemporary artist Mark Tansey also embraced monochromatic tones, using blue to evoke both serenity and surrealism.

There remains so much to discover in blue: from abstract color contrasts to painting water and sky, this class invites you to explore the depth, beauty, and emotion of the blues in paint.

Led by beloved muralist and Art League instructor Patrick Kirwin, this lighthearted, beginner-friendly workshop invites you to play with hues and textures to create a striking blue-based painting—perfect for adding calm and creativity to your day.

🎨 We’ll provide:

  • All painting materials
  • A canvas for you to take home
  • Blue color palettes and guidance
  • A welcoming, judgment-free space to relax and create

Whether you're coming solo or with a few furloughed friends, this is a chance to recharge, connect, and express yourself through art.

🎟 Spots are limited—reserve your seat now and get creative with us!
