Creative Connection Practice: Threads

Creative Connection Practice: Threads

Dāva Bead and TradePortland, OR
Monday, Apr 13 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Overview

Embrace the full flow of creative process — the slow rhythms, imperfect patterns, and quiet satisfaction of making something with your hands

This is ok too...

How would it feel to take some pressure off the process of living? All of us find ourselves stuck, unmotivated, or unhappy with the outcomes of our efforts at some point in our lives. This month we would like to remind you that "this is ok too"... feeling stuck, or stalled creative output, or whatever it is you're feeling right now... it is ok to feel this way. This is a normal experience this aspect of life and you don't need to pressure yourself to get over it.

This workshop is about exploring the messy, nonlinear nature of creativity — where the threads don't always come together as planned, and accepting that is entirely the point. We'll weave in this idea of wherever you're at in your cycle or season of life, this is ok too.

Creative Connection Practice

What would it mean for you to connect to your most authentic self through creative practice?

Michelle Gay and Lucy Nobles invite you to an in-person exploration of your creative self, while building community with a small group of folks from the greater Portland area.

Experience a fun, playful space to create and engage with many forms of creativity.

As a means to connect with your deepest, truest self, you will:

  • try new things in service of connecting with and learning about yourself.
  • discover, build, and grow your unique gifts, creating a different perspective of how you show up in the world.
  • take an intuitive, lighthearted approach to creativity.
  • explore what is in your heart and be a witness for the people going through the same processes with you.

This is not about learning a new skill or making beautiful art pieces.

This is about exploring the connection between self and creative expression.

Included with all workshops:

  • Worksheet and packet to take home with templates and additional supplies to recreate or add to your project, quotes, and journal prompts
  • Small group work of up to 10 participants
  • Guided and reflective group coaching
  • Creative warm ups and group reflection
