About this event

Join our creative community without leaving home! We have a unique opportunity for you: we’ll mail you a free Creative Community Kit with the necessary materials and step-by-step recipes for creating 10 unique fiber art projects (plus one bonus project!)

You’ll enjoy working with fabric, yarn, paper, and more, using techniques that are variations on traditional methods. (By the way, no previous art experience is required to create a beautiful product!)

Projects include

• Tissue Paper Dyeing on Silk

• Shibori Dip-Dyeing with Color Pigment

• Eco-Printing on Silk and Paper

• Fabric-Wrapped Jewelry

• Weaving

• Shibori Immersion Dyeing with Color Pigment

• Book Binding

• Image Transfer to Linen Tote

• Coil Basket Weaving

• Paper Bead Making

• And one surprise bonus project

We’ll guide you through each project with an online learning session, and you can also join a community on Facebook and Instagram dedicated to participating artists—a great opportunity to share your work, ask questions, and build connections with other creativity community members.

Online learning sessions will begin in February 2023, and take place over Zoom on Fridays at 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. CT. If you can't make these sessions, you can still use the kit and the project "recipes" we'll send you, and share your results with us online!

When you register, you will receive a confirmation email with additional details on the kits, how to join our Zoom classes, and our Facebook and Instagram communities (using Facebook and Instagram is optional, but we hope you'll share your art with us there!)

Deadline to sign up: January 23.

Limited kits are available for this unique pilot project! Please note that we cannot ship internationally at this time.
