<h3>Title: Creative Communicators Camp!</h3>Dates: October 25-27, 2024Location: Camp Wawona, nestled in the beautiful mountains <h3>Description:</h3>Join us for an exciting weekend at the Creative Communicators Camp! This enriching boot camp is part of our broader initiative, "Empowering Kid's Faith through Public Speaking." It aims to develop children's public speaking skills, focusing on equipping them to share their faith. This is a unique opportunity for children to showcase their public speaking talents through recitation, storytelling, persuasion, and artistic expression. Imagine your child confidently delivering a speech or presenting their artwork inspired by the Gift of Salvation!Why Should Your Child Participate?<ul><li>Build confidence and self-esteem</li><li>Develop essential communication skills</li><li>Connect with other like-minded peers in a supportive environment</li><li>Express their faith in creative and meaningful ways </li></ul>Who Can Participate: Children age 8-13Note to Families - All siblings not participating are welcome. Please keep in mind that children older than 13 would benefit if they want to join us, but those younger than 8 will struggle in this program. The following accompanying sponsors are required. Must fulfill at least one role:<ul><li>Academy teacher from within our Central California Conference</li><li>Pathfinder leaders</li><li>Parents and guardians</li></ul> <h3>Important Pre-Camp Information for Parents and Sponsors:</h3>We want to ensure that every participant is fully prepared to make the most of their experience. <a href="http://www.childminchat.com" title="http://www.childminchat.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Before arriving at the camp, each child should select one of the following categories to focus on: Recitation, Storytelling, Artistic Expression, or Persuasion/Sermonette</a>Additionally, they need to write a rough draft based on the theme "The Gift of Salvation" in their chosen category. This initial draft will serve as a foundation for the workshops we will conduct during the camp.Our team will work with the kids to refine and polish their presentations, helping them develop their skills and enhance their performances. We are excited to see their creativity and growth throughout the weekend!For more details and to ensure your child is ready, please visit our website (http://www.childminchat.com). <h3>At Our Creative Communicators Camp: What to Expect</h3> <h4>Strengthen Your Speech:</h4>Before camp, each child should choose one of our four categories: Recitation, Storytelling, Artistic Expression, or Persuasion/Sermonette. They will write a rough draft based on the theme "The Gift of Salvation." At camp, we'll provide tailored workshops to help them enhance their speeches. These sessions will focus on refining their content and delivery, with special attention to body language, gestures, and tone of voice.Interactive Workshops:Participate in engaging workshops like "Finding Your Story," where kids will develop their unique presentations with personalized guidance. We’ll also offer parent sessions to support and empower children's voices.Outdoor Activities:Explore our scenic mountain environment with activities such as rock wall climbing and nature walks. These experiences will inspire storytelling and artistic creations, integrating the beauty of nature into their presentations.Art and Movement:Join art classes to create pieces that complement their speeches, and practice public speaking skills in dynamic environments. The combination of creative and physical activities will enhance their overall performance and confidence.Kid's Speak Jesus: On Sunday morning participants will be able to present their speeches with others who have signed up for the same category and receive feedback on how to grow in their public speaking. <h3>Housing Arrangements: </h3>Campers will need to bring bedding, toiletries, towels, warm clothes, and a flashlight.Meals: Sabbath breakfast - Sunday breakfast are includedBackground checks are required for sponsors and non-family adult participants. <h3>Cost: </h3>We're thrilled to announce that the Central California Conference and Pacific Union have generously subsidized all ticket prices to make this event more accessible for everyone. Thanks to this support, we can offer built-in discounts for lodge rooms and cabins, making it even more affordable for families to join us. Our Family Rate covers up to three family members in lodge rooms and up to five in cabins.
