O﻿TE Arts is a nonprofit organization based in the Olde Towne East. We facilitate emerging artist galleries and artist opportunities at multiple venues in Columbus, Ohio including The Mansion 731 and 700 Bryden.

Take collage to the next level - Learn how to create texture and build up a surface through acrylic, paper, magazines and found objects!

In this workshop we take collage to the next level. We will learn how to build a create texture and build up a surface through using acrylic, paper, magazines, acrylic medium and a variety of found objects. Ultimately all participants will take home a bold and unique work of art. Bring your friends and a beverage of your choice for an evening of fun and creativity. All levels of art making experience is welcome. Instructor Bio: April Sunami is a professional visual artist primarily focusing on mixed-media painting and installation. She earned her Master of Arts Degree in Art History from Ohio University and her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Ohio State University. Sunami is also an award-winning installation artist through the 2012 Columbus Art Pop-Up Project sponsored by the <a href="http://gcac.org/" title="http://gcac.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Greater Columbus Arts Council</a>. Her work has been widely exhibited in galleries and museums including the <a href="https://www.columbusmuseum.org/art-360-contemporary-art-hatching-across-ohio/" title="https://www.columbusmuseum.org/art-360-contemporary-art-hatching-across-ohio/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Columbus Museum of Art</a>, National African America Museum and Cultural Center and the <a href="http://www.somacc.com/april-sunami-waiting-for-transcendence/" title="http://www.somacc.com/april-sunami-waiting-for-transcendence/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Southern Ohio Museum</a>. Sunami is married to writer and philosopher <a href="http://kitoba.com/" title="http://kitoba.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Christopher Sunami</a>. They both live in Columbus, OH and co-parent two bright and imaginative kids.
